Group Director, Comms Planning – initial 3 month contract – Media Agency

 

Contract role to start immediately for a seasoned Comms Planning Director. Working on a large FS client.

 

Salary c£400 p/d. Based Central London with 3 days p/w in the office.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Media Planning & Innovation

  • Collaborate with senior leaders within the media agency and the wider network to develop and elevate integrated media strategies.
  • Deliver best-in-class planning solutions across the client’s entire ecosystem, ensuring seamless brand connections.
  • Identify innovative cross-channel opportunities within briefs to maximize impact.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to inform planning decisions and optimize channel selection.

 

Industry Expertise & Thought Leadership

  • Provide thought leadership on industry trends, innovations, and their impact on clients.
  • Stay ahead of emerging channel trends to inform strategy and ensure cutting-edge planning solutions.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive experience in media planning, communications, or digital strategy.
  • proven track record in strategic media planning across the funnel and digital mix.
  • strong understanding of the UK media landscape, with a consumer-first approach.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to assess and recommend opportunities.
  • Expertise with media planning tools such as TGI, GWI, Facebook Campaign Planner.
  • Familiarity with digital buying platforms (Google Ads, DV360, Facebook Ads Manager, The Trade Desk) is a plus.
