Executive Director of Data Science at a leading London based global media agency.

 

This is a senior level role within the data science and marketing intelligence team working with key clients and internal teams. You’ll make sure the agency and their clients benefit from all advancements in data driven marketing, machine learning and advanced analytics.

 

The ideal candidate will have a curious and inquisitive nature and have a passion for numbers and finding insight in data.

 

You should have a solid understanding of the media planning and activation process and the challenges that planners and buyers are facing as the media landscape changes, especially across the digital activation landscape.

 

Salary c£85,000 + benefits.

 

 

Role Summary

  • This is a senior position leading the data science team, responsible for the overall growth and development of capabilities in data science and the wider marketing intelligence team
  • You will help design and deliver a market leading approach to using advanced analytics and machine learning , to exploit data and technology available
  • Managing relationships with clients and running profitable development workstreams
  • Oversee product development for new features by collaborating with client teams and clients directly to gather requirements and feed into a Data Science roadmap for key clients
  • You will join a diverse and growing team and play a part in supporting the Technical Development Plans for members of the Data & Technology Transformation team
  • Help define the agency’s point of difference in the marketplace

 

 

Key Skills Required

 

  • A background and high-level understanding of data-driven approaches e.g. statistics, econometrics, insights and modelling
  • You will need significant experience in marketing, especially in digital
  • Good communication and project management skills to articulate the approach, progress and delivery of the data science team, and the requirements of clients
  • You will also benefit from experience in in web analytics (GA / Adobe), data management, cloud technology, and programmatic technology stacks
  • Natural problem solver, able to think on your feet to recommend a better or new way to solve a client problem
  • You can organise the workload of the team to ensure that their output is delivered as efficiently as possible and to the highest standard
  • You must be able to explain complex concepts to clients and colleagues in a way that is easy to understand
